A morning at the AchtBerlin cinema demonstrated that artificial intelligence (AI) has the power to transcend technology. In their masterclass, Benjamin Mateev and Ole Tillmann presented AI as a practical and reflective tool that can inspire new ideas in everyday life, work, and creativity. Thus, fear of change became an invitation to curiosity.

In her exhibition, „THIS IS (NOT) AMERICA“, Kiki Kausch displays political imagery at AchtBerlin. Her photographs depict an America on the brink of upheaval, offering new insights into social developments. They encourage viewers to reflect on their everyday lives.

Dorith Mous and Marc Schmidheiny presented three short films from the ‘Together Alone’ series at our AchtBerlin cinema. In these poignant film portraits, the subjects opened up and shared personal accounts of mental health, vulnerability, and recovery. The evening culminated in an open discussion, which gave attendees the chance to connect with one another and share their experiences.

ALLES WIRD GUT (Everything will be alright). A flag by Berlin artist Simon Mullan adorns the building’s façade, providing a reassuring message for passers-by and all who work and live in the AchtBerlin complex.

DCM has been the main tenant at No. 8 Schönhauser Allee for ten years and thus forms the nucleus of the present and future AchtBerlin community.

For the building owners and for DCM – the nucleus of AchtBerlin – the cinema provides a central venue for a variety of events, for coming together, and for creative interactions.
